Box Office: Tom Holland & Zoe Saldana Among the Highest-Grossing Actors of All Time

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" continues to climb higher and higher at the box office: The Marvel blockbuster has become one of the most financially successful films of all time. This is also reflected in Tom Holland's box office stats, as he has now risen to become one of the most successful actors at the box office.

Among others, the website ComicBookMovie has already reported that the MCU star has become the most commercially successful actor of all time, surpassing the previous frontrunner, Zoe Saldana.

However, such lists should be taken with a grain of salt. It's not always clear exactly how the calculations are made. Do films featuring cameo appearances by the actor in question count? Were the earnings from re-releases of certain films taken into account? Are the correct figures used for all of the actor's films? Sometimes, different box office websites report slightly different figures for the same film.

Tom Holland's Most Successful Movies

But whether Tom Holland tops the box office charts or not—he is, in any case, one of the most commercially successful actors of all time. Holland naturally owes much of his current success to his role as Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man. His solo films include "Spider-Man: Homecoming," "Far From Home," "No Way Home," and "Brand New Day." All of these films were huge hits at the box office.

Spider-Man also played a role, of course, in the hugely successful "Avengers" films "Infinity War" and "Endgame." Holland's first appearance in the MCU, however, was neither in a solo film nor in an "Avengers" installment. The actor first appeared as Peter Parker in "Captain America: Civil War."

Johansson finally got her own Marvel film with "Black Widow," which hit theaters in 2021. However, the film failed to match the massive box office success of the major "Avengers" installments.

That said, Johansson has also enjoyed major commercial success outside the MCU. Notably, she starred in "Jurassic World: Rebirth." The blockbuster, released in 2025, became a major global box office hit and is thus one of the films that significantly boosted Johansson's box office total.
