Harry Potter
The young orphan Harry Potter grows up with his aunt and uncle, who only take advantage of him. Shortly before his eleventh birthday, however, his life changes when he receives an invitation to Hogwarts, a school for witchcraft and wizardry. Magical creatures, potions lessons and the teacher Snape, who doesn't seem to like him, await him there. Harry finds new friends in his classmates Ron and Hermione. And soon he has to deal with the most evil of all wizards.
A new series adaptation of the iconic and successful book series by J.K. Rowling. The roles of Harry, Ron and Hermione will be played by newcomers Dominic McLaughlin, Alastair Stout and Arabella Stanton. Also taking part are, among others: John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid. Filming for the series began on July 14, 2025. The first season "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" is scheduled to premiere on HBO and HBO Max at Christmas 2026.
