New addition to the MCU: According to initial rumors, "Breaking Bad" star Giancarlo Esposito could play the villain in the upcoming Marvel blockbuster "Captain America: Brave New World".

Esposito himself announced a few days ago that he would be joining the MCU in a hitherto unknown role. Murphy's Universe now claims to have discovered that he will be the antagonist in "Captain America: Brave New World". More specifically, an agent of chaos. However, further details about the character are currently being kept secret. The experienced actor has already proven several times that he can portray villains: his performances as Gustavo Fring in "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul" as well as the role of Moff Gideon in "The Mandalorian" were particularly impressive.

The film, which stars Anthony Mackie, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson and Harrison Ford, is set to follow the style of the previous "Captain America" projects – in other words, it will be more of a thriller than a superhero epic. "Captain America: Brave New World" will be released in cinemas on February 14, 2025.
