Background
The movie is expected to have some changes from the musical. The movie is expected to feature new musical touches, including two new songs by Stephen Schwartz. The lead roles will once again be played by Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda. Jonathan Bailey will again play Fiyero, and Marissa Bode will be seen as Nessa. Jon M. Chu is once again directing. Filming took place at the same time as the first movie, allowing for a quick release.
