Overview

The series tells the story of five young residents at the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital in Seattle. The focus is on the young doctor Meredith Grey, who is completing her surgical training together with her colleagues Cristina Yang, Isobel "Izzie" Stevens, George O'Malley and Alex Karev. At the heart of the plot are the various relationships the residents have with each other and with their ward superintendents.
