Overview

Long before she ascended the throne, young Elizabeth Tudor (Alicia von Rittberg, Heart of Steel, "Charité," Youth Without God) was an unacknowledged half-orphan caught up in the power and gender struggles of the English court. After the death of King Henry VIII, his nine-year-old son Edward (Oliver Zetterström, The Midnight Gang, "The Romanoffs") succeeds him on the throne, setting in motion a dangerous scramble for power.
