Savage Hunters: The title for the Deathstroke and Bane crossover has reportedly been finalized
Two names are already being mentioned for the director's position
A joint film featuring Deathstroke and Bane has been in the works at DC Studios for over two years now. Things had been quiet around the project for a long time, but now it finally seems like something is happening. According to the well-known insider MyTimeToShineHello, the crossover is set to be titled "Savage Hunters".
According to Deadline, the title has also reportedly appeared in an internal to-do list from the newly formed joint venture between Skydance and Warner Bros. There, the project is apparently listed as "Savage Hunters, aka Deathstroke & Bane Movie (DC)". However, an official confirmation from DC Studios is still pending.
What We Know About the Movie So Far
Not much information is available yet about the Deathstroke and Bane movie. Matthew Orton, who has worked on "Moon Knight" and "Captain America: Brave New World", among other projects, has been hired to write the screenplay. There are also already two potential candidates for the director's chair. Greg Mottola, known for the comedy "Superbad", among other projects, is currently being considered as a potential director. Mottola most recently worked on the second season of "Peacemaker".
Insider Jeff Sneider recently suggested Russian filmmaker Ilya Viktorovich Naischuller as a potential director. Naischuller has primarily made a name for himself with action films such as "Nobody" and "Hardcore Henry". We're curious to see who ultimately gets the job.
Bane has been one of Batman's most famous villains for years and has already appeared in films such as "Batman & Robin" and "The Dark Knight Rises". Tom Hardy's portrayal of the masked villain, in particular, has left a lasting impression on many fans. In the comics, Bane is considered not only extremely strong but also highly intelligent. His most famous story is likely the "Knightfall" comic series, in which he first psychologically breaks Batman down and ultimately even breaks his spine.

Deathstroke, on the other hand, has not yet had any major film appearances, but he is also one of the most popular DC villains among comic book fans. In the earlier DCEU, the character was originally supposed to be played by Joe Manganiello and face off against Ben Affleck's Batman. The first brief scenes featuring Deathstroke were already seen in "Justice League" as well as in "Zack Snyder's Justice League". However, the deadly mercenary had a much more prominent role in the DC series "Arrow" and "Titans". Exactly how the two characters will clash in the planned film – and whether Batman himself will play a role – is currently unknown. A release date has not yet been announced.
