The Golden Globe nominations for the awards ceremony on January 7, 2024 were announced today. In addition to the expected favorites, there are also some underdogs in the race for the coveted film prize.
The 82nd Golden Globes ceremony will take place in Beverly Hills in around a month's time. The Globes are regarded as an important indicator for the Academy Awards and are the second most important award in the film and series world. The nominees have now been announced:
The frontrunner at the Golden Globes is the musical thriller "Emilia Pérez" with a whopping ten nominations. It is closely followed by the four-hour drama "The Brutalist" with seven nominations. Edward Berger's "Conclave", "Anora", "The Substance" and the prequel "Wicked" were nominated for five statues. Only two nominations, on the other hand, went to "Dune 2"
In the series category, "The Bear" once again dominated with five nominations. "Only Murders in the Building" and "Shogun" were nominated four times each.
