A new Chris Pratt movie is on the horizon! The Marvel star takes on the lead role in "The Way of the Warrior Kid," in which he plays an injured Navy SEAL who becomes a mentor to his shy nephew. "Middle school has been a nightmare for Marc (Jude Hill), a good kid who's bullied by his classmates and feels like he's behind in everything, from academics to P.E. to just making friends. That changes when his injured Uncle Jake (Chris Pratt), a decorated Navy SEAL, comes to spend the summer and recuperate with Marc and his mom, Sarah (Linda Cardellini). To help Marc defend himself, Jake devises an ambitious program he calls "Operation Warrior Kid" based on his SEAL training. Instead of teaching his nephew how to fight, Jake shows Marc what real courage is, facing down his own demons along the way."
The Cast of The Way of the Warrior Kid
With Chris Pratt and Linda Cardellini, the cast of "The Way of the Warrior Kid" features two big names. For Pratt, playing a Navy SEAL is nothing new. He also appears as a Navy SEAL in the Amazon series "The Terminal List." In "The Way of the Warrior Kid", however, we can expect something a little different.
Jude Hill, meanwhile, has already appeared in several major productions despite his young age. Hill took on the lead role in Kenneth Branagh's "Belfast"—and was even nominated for a few awards for his performance. He appeared once again in front of the camera for director Branagh in "A Haunting in Venice." Other roles are played by Levi McConaughey, Ava Torres, Darien Sills-Evans, Carl McDowell, and Parker Young. "The Way of the Warrior Kid" was directed by McG, who is best known for his "Charlie's Angels" films, among other projects.

Chris Pratt is best known for his roles in major film franchises and hit TV series.
