The first season of the Trust anthology series looks at the kidnapping of John Paul Getty III in the 1970s. The heir to the Getty oil fortune was kidnapped by the Mafia as a 16-year-old in Rome in 1973. His wealthy grandfather, billionaire entrepreneur John Paul Getty, initially refused to pay the ransom.
