John Carpenter will compose the film score
After "Everything Everywhere All At Once," the successful studio A24 already has the next comedy with a huge cast up its sleeve.
"Death of a Unicorn" tells the story of a father and his daughter who run over a unicorn on their weekend trip. They then take the dead mythical creature to a billionaire who wants to exploit the corpse for profit in order to gain access to the animal's healing powers.
According to Deadline, the two main roles are played by Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega, while Will Poulter, Richard E. Grant, Jessica Hynes and Anthony Carrigan are also part of the cast. The film will be directed by Alex Scharfmann, who is making his debut with the film. The score is by none other than cult director John Carpenter.
The production of the black comedy will be handled by studio A24, which will release the movie in cinemas next year.
