The cast is certainly impressive

After the success of the Amazon series "Reacher", all doors are open to lead actor Alan Ritchson. Now his career is leading him to the competition: he is shooting the science fiction action film "War Machine" for Netflix.

The war film is about an elite group of Army Rangers who, according to official information, have to deal with a "threat beyond their imagination". Naturally, this calls for a battle between soldiers and aliens, in the style of "Predator" and "Aliens".

In addition to Alan Ritchson, the cast of "War Machine" consists of a number of other well-known names: According to The Hollywood Reporter magazine, "Suicide Squad" actor Jai Courtney and "If Beale Street Could Talk" actor Stephan James are among them. They will be accompanied by Blake Richardson and Keiynan Lonsdale. Daniel Webber, in turn, may be familiar to some from the series "The Punisher".

The superiors of the tough squad are no strangers either: they are played by Dennis Quaid and Esai Morales, who was last seen in "Mission Impossible 7".

The director of "War Machine" is Patrick Hughes, who has previously worked on movies such as "The Expendables 3", "The Hitman's Bodyguard" and "The Man From Toronto" - so he already has plenty of experience with the action genre.

Filming is currently underway in Australia. We therefore expect "War Machine" to be released on Netflix in 2025.
