New Images from the Colleen Hoover Adaptation "Verity" Starring Anne Hathaway, Josh Hartnett and Dakota Johnson

Following the success of "It Ends With Us", we can soon expect another film adaptation of a Colleen Hoover novel. With "Verity", the author's book of the same name is currently being filmed. There are some well-known names in the cast, and we can now take a look at the new images from the set.
"Verity" is about the young writer Lowen Ashleigh, who is struggling with financial problems. However, she accepts the job offer of a lifetime: She is supposed to finish the remaining books in a bestselling series that author Verity Crawford is unable to complete after a mysterious accident. When she arrives at the Crawford estate, Ashleigh slowly learns that many things are not as they seem.
The protagonist Lowen Ashleigh is played by "Fifty Shades of Grey" actress Dakota Johnson. Johnson might also be familiar from films such as "Bad Times at the El Royale" or "The Peanut Butter Falcon". Most recently, she was also seen in the lead role in the Marvel production "Madame Web".
Anne Hathaway takes on the role of Verity Crawford. The Hollywood star has of course appeared in numerous films, including Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar" and most recently in the romance "The Idea of You".
Josh Hartnett will be seen as Jeremy Crawford. In recent years, the "Pearl Harbour" actor has appeared in the thriller "Trap" and the Oscar hit "Oppenheimer".
New images from the "Verity" set
The filming of "Verity" is currently underway, giving book fans a first glimpse of the film adaptation. The entertainment portal E! News shares, among other things, a picture of the bloodied protagonist Lowen on the streets of New York. Josh Hartnett's character Jeremy Crawford can be seen next to her.
The industry magazine Variety also shares a photo featuring only Dakota Johnson.
The film is directed by Michael Showalter, who has previously directed films such as "The Big Sick" and the aforementioned "The Idea of You". Colleen Hoover is involved in the film adaptation of her novel as a producer. However, it is not yet known when "Verity" will be released in cinemas.
