Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and Hulu have a huge selection – but these nine movies are currently storming to the top of the streaming charts! The list includes massive theatrical blockbusters that continue to thrill viewers even months later – as well as true long-running favorites produced specifically for home viewing. So, get your watchlist ready – you definitely don't want to miss these movies before they disappear from the platforms again!

Project Hail Mary (Amazon Prime Video)

We're kicking things off with a massive sci-fi highlight on Amazon Prime Video. "Project Hail Mary" – based on the novel of the same name – has immediately shot to the top of the Prime charts. Ryan Gosling plays an astronaut who wakes up as the sole survivor of a desperate mission in space. He's lost his memory and must figure out who he really is and how he can save Earth from certain doom. And as if that weren't stressful enough, he also encounters an alien in space with the same goal. The film delivers incredibly powerful imagery, pure suspense, and one of the most beautiful on-screen friendships of recent years. An absolute must-see for all fans of the genre.

72 Hours (Netflix)

From the infinite vastness of space, we jump over to Netflix and straight into the finest comedy chaos. Kevin Hart is back with "72 Hours", which is currently dominating the streaming giant's charts. The plot: Due to a misunderstanding, a forty-year-old office worker ends up at a three-day bachelor party with a group of twenty-somethings – chaos is inevitable. The movie doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it does exactly what it's supposed to: it delivers a breakneck pace, snappy dialogue, and plenty of laughs. If you just want to unwind and be thoroughly entertained after a long day, this is the perfect choice.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 (Hulu)

Next up on Hulu is a movie that so many of you have been waiting years for: "The Devil Wears Prada 2". The sequel to the legendary fashion comedy is finally here and has instantly taken the streaming world by storm. Meryl Streep is back as the ice-cold Miranda Priestly and this time has to hold her own in a completely transformed media landscape where traditional print magazines are fighting for survival. The film perfectly captures the biting humor and pure lifestyle appeal of the first installment, but also shines with surprisingly emotional moments and stunning outfits. Whether you know the first movie by heart or just love razor-sharp dialogue – you won't want to miss this film on Hulu.

Masters of the Universe (Amazon Prime Video)

We're switching back to Amazon Prime Video and bringing out the nostalgia factor: "Masters of the Universe" has finally made its streaming debut and is causing quite a stir on Prime right now. The live-action adaptation centered on He-Man and the epic battle for Castle Grayskull delivers exactly what fantasy-action fans want to see: massive battles, cool effects, and the wonderfully over-the-top villain Skeletor. Big fantasy projects like this often struggle at the box office, but on streaming platforms, they absolutely go through the roof. If you're in the mood for intense action and some seriously cool world-building, grab a huge bowl of popcorn and enjoy the show.

Elize: Shadow of a Woman (Netflix)

Things get significantly more serious, as "Elize: Shadow of a Woman" is currently giving viewers goosebumps on Netflix. True-crime shows are perennial favorites, but this feature film takes the whole thing to a whole new level. It's about Elize, a former prostitute who seems to have found happiness in her marriage to a wealthy man. But the relationship becomes increasingly toxic and ends with a fatal decision. What makes the film so incredibly gripping is the oppressive atmosphere and the brilliant performance by lead actress Lorena Comparato. If you're into true crime and have nerves of steel, you're in for one of the most intense thriller-dramas of the year.

Ready or Not 2 (Disney+ and Hulu)

If you're looking to lighten the mood a bit after that true-crime shocker, Disney+ and Hulu are the place to go – albeit in a very gory way. "Ready or Not 2" is here! The first installment was an absolute surprise hit, and the sequel also hits the gas pedal full throttle. Once again, we get a wonderfully macabre mix of pitch-black humor and hard-hitting survival horror. The cat-and-mouse game is even wilder, the kills are even more creative, and the spiral of escalation keeps spiraling upward unstoppably. If you love movies like "Scream" or bloody slasher films with a tongue-in-cheek twist, you'll have a blast with this sequel on Disney+ and Hulu.

The Sheep Detectives (Amazon Prime Video)

For our penultimate movie, things get really charming on Amazon Prime Video – but no less murderous. "The Sheep Detectives" is based on the hugely successful bestseller and, in our opinion, was adapted more than fantastically. The premise is brilliant: A shepherd is murdered, and because the police are completely incompetent, his flock of sheep simply takes the investigation into their own hooves. An absolute feel-good movie that's cleverly written and definitely not just for kids.

War Machine (Netflix)

Before we get to the grand finale, let's really go all out on Netflix one last time. "War Machine", starring Alan Ritchson – whom many of you know from "Reacher" – is the epitome of an uncompromising action blockbuster. A team of elite soldiers must hold their own against an alien combat robot from outer space. This is loud, hard-hitting, and gritty action cinema that takes no prisoners. The film doesn't waste time on unnecessary drama, but delivers a pure adrenaline rush from the first minute to the last. No wonder the movie has held its ground so tenaciously in the Netflix charts – it's perfect entertainment for a hearty action-packed evening.

Avatar: Fire & Ash (Disney+)

Disney+ provides the perfect finale to our list today. With "Avatar: Fire & Ash", the third chapter of James Cameron's sci-fi epic has finally arrived on streaming. After exploring the oceans of Pandora in the second installment, the third film takes us to the so-called Ash Clan – a far more aggressive and dangerous Na'vi tribe. Visually, the film once again pushes the boundaries. Even on your TV at home, the world of Pandora is an absolute feast for the eyes. If you missed the movie in theaters or simply want to enjoy it again in brilliant quality, you absolutely can't miss this milestone on Disney+.
