This year's New York Comic Con had a lot to offer Marvel fans. Among other things, there were the first trailers and several announcements for "Vision Quest", "Wonder Man" and "Daredevil: Born Again" season 2!

Vision Quest: Marvel's Android returns

In the first trailer for "Vision Quest", Paul Bettany can be seen both as the "White Vision" from the "WandaVision" finale and in his human form. Familiar AI characters also make an appearance – including Jarvis and a human version of villain Ultron, once again voiced and embodied by James Spader. In a key scene, Vision enters an elegant white mansion inhabited by what appear to be human servants – all replicas of familiar artificial intelligences.

At the end of the trailer, a brief but significant moment causes a stir: An adult Tommy, Vision's and Wanda's son, makes an appearance. He was still a child in "WandaVision", but is now – like Billy in "Agatha All Along" – portrayed as significantly older. "Vision Quest" is the third part of an unofficial trilogy that began with "WandaVision" and continued with "Agatha All Along". All three series deal with the themes of loss, identity and the question of what humanity really means.

After "Avengers: Infinity War", Vision's story actually seemed to be over: Thanos had snatched the Mind Stone from him and killed him with it. But "WandaVision" revealed that Wanda had created an illusionary family life out of pain and longing – including a magically reconstructed version of her beloved Visions. At the end of the series, the "White Vision" regained his memories and disappeared to seek his own destiny.

In addition to Paul Bettany and James Spader, the cast includes Todd Stashwick, T'Nia Miller, Ruaridh Mollica and Emily Hampshire. Terry Matalas, who most recently enjoyed success with "Star Trek: Picard", is responsible for the series. The new series will be released on Disney+ in 2026.

"Daredevil: Born Again" brings back Jessica Jones

The second season of "Daredevil: Born Again" starts in March 2026 and promises a darker twist for Matt Murdock. Charlie Cox explained that Murdock and Mayor Wilson Fisk are both fighting for the future of New York City. A highlight is the return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones. Fans can also look forward to an already confirmed third season. The trailer released at the convention showed explosive scenes between Daredevil, Kingpin and the deadly Bullseye.

"X-Men '97" with Apocalypse as the villain

The creators of the original "X-Men: The Animated Series", Eric and Julia Lewald, are returning as executive producers for the second season of "X-Men '97". The series will start in summer 2026 with Apocalypse as the main antagonist. A third season of the popular animated series has also been confirmed! The trailer revealed Apocalypse in his classic outfit as well as the return of Bishop, who brings Wolverine and Cyclops from the distant future to the 1990s.

"Wonder Man": Hollywood meets superhero mythos

"Wonder Man" starts on Disney+ on January 27, 2026 and tells the meta-story of actor Simon Williams, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. The eight-part series combines Hollywood satire with superhero drama, offering an unusual take on the genre. Ben Kingsley returns as Trevor Slattery – who was last seen in "Shang-Chi" and as Mandarin in "Iron Man 3". "Wonder Man" will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who will also direct "Spider-Man: Brand New Day". If you want to find out more about "Spider-Man 4", then take a look at our film preview!

"Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" season 2

The animated world also continues to grow: "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man " returns with a second season in autumn 2026. Daredevil and Venom can be seen, while Peter Parker is confronted with the familiar black symbiote. Marvel Animation presented first scenes that hint at a darker tone and strong character development.
