A UFO conspiracy thriller from the director of Top Gun: Maverick has also been announced
Apple TV+ has once again been able to attract top Hollywood stars for its latest productions. The upcoming films and series include a new thriller with "Euphoria" star Sydney Sweeney, for which the entertainment portal Vanity Fair has now published the first images. There is also a new series with "Star Wars" actor Adam Driver and Jessica Chastain and a UFO conspiracy thriller from the "Top Gun: Maverick" director.
Echo Valley
"Echo Valley" is about a woman plagued by fate who has retreated to a farm. Suddenly her daughter turns up, covered in blood. The central themes of the film are addiction and how far a mother will go for her daughter.
The mother-daughter team consists of Academy Award winner Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney. Sweeney is currently one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood and was most recently seen in the romantic comedy "Anyone But You" and the horror film "Immaculate", among others. She took on a series role in the first season of the acclaimed HBO production "The White Lotus", which is currently in its third season.
Julianne Moore is best known to film fans from the comedy "The Big Lebowski", the post-apocalyptic drama "Children of Men" and the "Hunger Games" films.
The cast also includes "Twin Peaks" star Kyle MacLachlan, "Ex Machina" actor Domhnall Gleeson and "Harry Potter" actress Fiona Shaw.
There is already a start date: the film will be available on the Apple TV+ streaming platform on June 13.
Sydney Sweeney also has the film "Eden" coming up, although no release date has been announced yet. The film is also starring Jude Law, Ana de Armas and Vanessa Kirby.

The Dealer
As the industry magazine Deadline reports, Apple has also ordered a new drama series: "The Dealer". The leading roles will be played by "Interstellar" actress Jessica Chastain and Adam Driver. Thematically, "The Dealer" deals with power, class and seduction in the world of the art market. It centers on the complex relationship between an aspiring gallerist (Chastain) and a talented artist (Driver). It is not yet clear when "The Dealer" will be released on Apple TV Plus.
Jessica Chastain is known for her leading role in "Zero Dark Thirty", in which she played a CIA agent. In Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar", she was in front of the camera together with Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. She took on further roles in "The Help" and "Molly's Game".

Adam Driver was seen as Kylo Ren in the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy. Driver also impressed in "Marriage Story" and Spike Lee's "BlacKkKlansman". Most recently, the actor was part of the cast of Francis Ford Coppola's "Megalopolis".
UFO conspiracy thriller
Deadline also reports that a UFO conspiracy thriller has been officially commissioned by Apple. It is not yet known who will be in front of the camera. However, the team behind the camera will make action fans in particular sit up and take notice: The new film comes from "Top Gun: Maverick" director Joseph Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
Kosinski has directed several blockbusters over the past fifteen years. He made his feature film debut with the sci-fi film "Tron: Legacy", a sequel to the 1982 cult classic "Tron". This was followed in 2013 by "Oblivion", another science fiction epic starring Tom Cruise, set in a post-apocalyptic future. Kosinski celebrated his biggest hit with "Top Gun: Maverick", the popular sequel to the 80s film "Top Gun".
Kosinski has already worked with producer Jerry Bruckheimer on "Maverick". The two also worked together on the upcoming film "F1". In it, Brad Pitt plays a Formula 1 driver who returns from retirement.

At the center of the announced conspiracy thriller are two men who work in the field of national security. They uncover a secret program aimed at recovering crashed UFOs.
The screenplay, meanwhile, is being written by Zach Baylin. The author is best known for his sports films. He wrote the screenplays for the Will Smith film "King Richard", "Gran Turismo" and "Creed 3".
Due to the early stage of development, it is still unclear when Kosinski's conspiracy film will be released. However, there are plenty of other action and sci-fi films awaiting us in cinemas this year. Here you can get a comprehensive overview.
