The popular mobile game "Clash of Clans" is getting a series adaptation! This was announced by Netflix in an official statement. An animated series called "Clash" is planned.

The series will be based on both "Clash of Clans" and "Clash Royale". The games have been a success story for developer Supercell since the release of "Clash of Clans" in 2012. The series is currently in pre-production. Netflix has already shared initial plot information.

"The series will follow a determined but in-over-his-head Barbarian who must rally a band of misfits to defend their village and navigate the comically absurd politics of war."

Behind the project is showrunner Fletcher Moules, who has already directed several animated videos for "Clash of Clans". He will be supported by Ron Weiner, who is very familiar with the series industry. He has worked as a writer on "Arrested Development" and "Futurama", among others. Due to the early stage of production, however, it is not yet clear when we will get to see "Clash".

Clash of Clans

"Clash of Clans" is a strategy game in which players build their own village, collect resources and train an army to attack other villages. Animated series on Netflix

Netflix has developed a number of animated series in recent years – and not just for children, but also for adults. The platform offers a wide range of animated series. Some of the most popular series could also be something for "Clash of Clans" fans.

Castlevania

Based on the video game series of the same name, "Castlevania" tells the bloody story of vampire hunter Trevor Belmont, who fights against Dracula and his army of darkness. The series combines a dark medieval atmosphere with horror and action. The stylish animation and the dense, adult narrative are particularly impressive. "Castlevania" is clearly aimed at an adult audience – with violence, political intrigue and moral complexity.

Arcane

"Arcane" is based on the video game "League of Legends" – but even those who are not familiar with the game can can still enjoy the series. "Arcane" impresses with complex characters, moral gray areas and a captivating plot. The series also has a unique look. In terms of plot, the series tells the story of two sisters, Vi and Jinx, who find themselves on opposite sides of a conflict as a result of political intrigue and personal tragedy.

BoJack Horseman

"BoJack Horseman" is considered one of the most brilliant and at the same time darkest animated series. At its center is BoJack, a washed-up sitcom star with a horse's head. He lives in a surreal Hollywood in which humans and talking animals coexist. What initially seems like a wacky comedy turns out to be a profound exploration of themes such as depression, addiction, fame and self-destruction. The series impresses with its biting dialog, social satire and surprisingly emotional moments. The character development is particularly impressive. Rarely has an animated series allowed its characters to grow (and fail) so consistently and honestly.

Love, Death & Robots

This anthology series is a wild ride through a wide variety of worlds, styles and themes. Each episode stands on its own and is produced by different teams, which means that the look and sound vary greatly – from photorealistic CGI to abstract animation. Thematically, the episodes range between futuristic dystopias, black humor, philosophical questions and pure action.

"Love, Death & Robots" is ideal for anyone who likes experimental and visually impressive short stories. Due to the short running time of the episodes (mostly under 20 minutes), the series is perfect for watching in-between. David Fincher is one of the people behind the project. With "Fight Club", "Seven" and "Gone Girl", the cult director has directed a number of modern classics.

In recent years, Netflix has impressively demonstrated that animated series can be far more than just colorful entertainment for children. With series such as "BoJack Horseman", "Arcane" or "Love, Death & Robots", the medium of animation is used to tell special stories. We are excited to see what approach Netflix will take for "Clash".
