Most recently, he set new visual standards with the "Dune" films. "Dune 3" is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026. Following "Dune 3," the director is scheduled to work on the new "Bond" film. According to reports, filming is set to begin in 2027. This suggests a possible release in 2028 or 2029.
Steven Knight is writing the screenplay. Knight is best known as the creator of "Peaky Blinders" and also developed the historical drama series "Taboo." He has also made a name for himself in the film industry, notably writing the screenplay for David Cronenberg's "Eastern Promises."
