The King of Pop returns: this time in the form of a biopic, for which "The Equalizer" director Antoine Fuqua will be responsible. A first image shows us Jackson in action.

The biopic is starring Michael Jackson's nephew, Jaafar Jackson, who takes on the role of his uncle. A recently published first-look photo shows Jaafar Jackson in his uncle's iconic "Man in the Mirror" outfit from his Dangerous Tour. The similarities to Jackson are particularly striking - you could almost think the pop star had returned in person. The photo showing Jaafar Jackson was captured by Kevin Mazur, a long-time companion of Michael Jackson, who documented him both during his career and during the "This Is It" rehearsals.

The movie "Michael", directed by Antoine Fuqua, will explore the ups and downs of Jackson's life with a special focus on his human side. The screenplay was written by Oscar winner John Logan, who previously worked on Ridley Scott's "Gladiator" and "Skyfall". In addition to Jaafar Jackson, the cast also includes Colman Domingo and Nia Long, who will play Jackson's parents. "Top Gun: Maverick" star Miles Teller is also involved and will take on the role of lawyer John Branca.

We are very excited and can't wait for April 18, 2025, as that's when the biopic "Michael" is expected to be released in US theaters.
