Spider-Man / Venom crossover planned

This is what director Ruben Fleischer says

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if Spider Man and Venom appeared in a crossover movie? What used to be the sole subject of speculation, now seems to be really about to happen, at least if you believe the words of Venom director Ruben Fleischer. He said that the studio was actually looking for a solution for a joint film at the moment, as this was the next logical step. He says:

"That's where it's all going to lead. And that's the exciting thing, because we changed the origin of Venom ... In the comics, he evolved from Spider-Man but because of the Marvel-Sony thing we weren't able to that. And so the thing I think it's building towards, and will be exciting to see, is when they actually do confront each other."

Fleischer himself won't have much influence on this, though, as it's already certain that Andy Serkis will be the director of the second Venom part. This at least guarantees a breath of fresh air at Venom 2. Reporter Eddie Brook portrayed by Tom

Hardy will meet his biggest enemy Carange. His colleague Michelle Williams, who plays his girlfriend Anne Weying, will also be returning.

Venom 2 will probably be released next year and no further information about the possible crossover is known yet.
