A Minecraft Movie 2: Director Talks About Sequel
The talks about the sequel seem to be already underway.
"A Minecraft Movie" is currently on everyone's lips. Its success at the box office has exceeded even the wildest expectations. So it's hardly surprising that there is already talk of a possible sequel. Director Jared Hess has now spoken about this in an interview with the trade portal Deadline.
The most important news: according to Hess, negotiations for a second part are already in progress. He himself would also be available again as a director.
"We had so much fun making this movie, and it's such an expansive world in the game, and there were so many things that we didn't tap into that we wanted to. I would have a blast doing the sequel."
Hess also gave a preview of what "A Minecraft Movie 2" could be about. According to him, the character Alex would play an important role. Alex might be familiar to Minecraft fans from the game and has already been teased in the movie. Alongside Steve and the player, Alex is one of the most crucial characters.
You can still watch the first "Minecraft" film in cinemas. It features Jack Black as Steve, "Aquaman" actor Jason Momoa, "The White Lotus" star Jennifer Coolidge and Emma Myers from "Wednesday". According to Puck News, Steve was originally supposed to be played by someone else. Apparently, "What We Do in the Shadows" actor Matt Berry was intended for the role, but due to scheduling difficulties, he was unable to make it.

The Most Famous Movies and Series with Jack Black
Jack Black is one of Hollywood's best-known and most popular actors, mainly because of his humorous and often quirky style. Let's take a look at some of his most famous and influential films that have made him a staple of the movie world!
School of Rock
One of Jack Black's biggest and most popular movies is undoubtedly 2003's "School of Rock", in which Black plays the role of Dewey Finn, an unemployed rock musician who infiltrates a private school as a teacher. With his mix of energy, charm and passionate approach to music, he brings depth and humor to the character.
The film, which won the hearts of fans and critics alike, became a success and has since become a cult classic. The soundtrack in particular, as well as the performance of the young cast, make "School of Rock" a timeless movie that will delight music lovers and comedy fans alike.
Jumanji: Welcome to the jungle
In the modern sequel to the classic "Jumanji" (1995) from 2017, "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle", Jack Black took on one of the leading roles. Other central roles were played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Karen Gillan and Kevin Hart. The film was a success at the box office and therefore prompted a sequel.
Jumanji: The Next Level
The sequel "Jumanji: The Next Level" continued the success and brought back the ensemble from the first film. Both movies are clearly among the most commercially successful movies of Black's career.

The Mandalorian
The actor also made an appearance in the third season of the "Star Wars" series "The Mandalorian". He appeared in the sixth episode, which is one of the most controversial in the series.

Kung Fu Panda
The "Kung Fu Panda" movie series is also an elementary part of Black's career. The first "Kung Fu Panda" film from 2008 is about Po (voice-actor: Jack Black), a clumsy panda who dreams of becoming a great kung fu warrior. Po works as a salesman in his father's noodle restaurant and lives a rather unspectacular life. Despite his passion for kung fu, he has no experience or skill in martial arts and feels he is a far cry from the real kung fu masters he admires. The story takes a turn when Po is accidentally declared the chosen one to replace the legendary Dragon Warrior, the greatest fighter in the region. The series now consists of four films.
