
Karl Koch achieved questionable fame in the 1980s with his espionage for Russia, in particular the so-called "KGB hack". His gruesome death in 1989 remains a mystery to this day. His story was filmed in 1998 in Hans-Christian Schmid's movie "23 - Nothing is as it seems".
