Overview
18-year-old Suzie (Marlene Burow) lives in East Berlin in 1989. As a factory worker, she faces a bleak future. A happy coincidence puts her on the cover of the magazine "Sibylle," the GDR equivalent of "Vogue. Suzi quickly trades in her gray factory smock for glamorous designer designs. In the tension between socialist working-class culture and fashion spirit, she gets to know a vibrant fashion world in the underground of East Berlin, which fascinates Suzi. There she befriends the flamboyant Rudi (Sabin Tambrea) and falls in love with the photographer Coyote (David Schütter), who dreams of his freedom in the West. Suzi's newfound happiness, however, does not remain unclouded for long. She has to make a difficult decision...
