Free at last! Exuberantly, married couple Alice (Esther Gemsch) and Peter (Stefan Kurt) celebrate their retirement and look forward to the upcoming new phase of life. On a cruise in the Mediterranean - a gift from the children - they want to get closer again as a couple, at least that's Alice's plan. But when Peter takes his recently widowed friend Heinz (Ueli Jäggi) on the trip without being asked, the hoped-for togetherness is over and long-pent-up marital problems come to light...
