After the murder of his girlfriend Ash (Cara Gee) , Joe's (Peter Mooney) world is turned upside down. When she suddenly contacts him, he initially thinks he's having a nervous breakdown—but what seems like madness to him is actually a glitch in the system. Little by little, Joe realizes that his perceived reality isn't real: he's living in a digital simulation, controlled by algorithms and monitored by a system that punishes any deviation. As the lines between reality and fiction become increasingly blurred, a dangerous hunt begins—for a man who knows too much and isn't supposed to exist.
