Overview

A parrot chattering Nazi slogans plunges the family of animal shelter manager Birgit Singer into an ordeal between political correctness, love of animals and the reality of German life. When the reconciliation with the Jewish parents-in-law fails, Birgit is caught in the crossfire of the media and loses her job as well as the trust of her daughter because of the bird, her collar bursts.
