Sonic the Hedgehog 4
The narrative focus of the sequel is the introduction of two iconic characters from the video game universe, who were already teased in the credit scenes of the third part: Amy Rose and Metal Sonic. The energetic hedgehog lady Amy does not appear as a helpless supporting character. Instead, she establishes herself as an independent and powerful fighter at Sonic's side with her massive Piko Piko Hammer. Opposite her is Metal Sonic, an emotionless, mechanical copy of the blue hedgehog. This threat is massively intensified by the appearance of a whole army of so-called Metal Sonic Troopers, a unit of digital data originally from the comics.

Background
Following the huge financial success of "Sonic the Hedgehog 3", which took the series' total box office takings to over 1.2 billion dollars, the fourth installment takes the franchise into an even bigger ensemble adventure. The creative team led by director Jeff Fowler, whose flair for balancing humor and action contributed significantly to the success of the predecessors, is sticking to the proven formula for success and consistently advancing the fast-paced story.
