Overview

Billionaire John Hammond secretly builds an adventure park on a deserted island that offers extraordinary attractions for his guests. To test and evaluate the park, he invites a group of experts, including paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant, his colleague Dr. Ellie Sattler, mathematician Dr. Ian Malcolm and Hammond's grandchildren Tim and Lex.

The group is brought to the island by helicopter and first experiences the fascinating world of dinosaurs at first hand. Hammond has succeeded in cloning dinosaurs with the help of genetic engineering and keeping them in outdoor enclosures. However, inexplicable malfunctions soon occur at the facility and everything threatens to spiral out of control.

While the experts try to find the cause of the problems, the dinosaurs break out of their enclosures and start a wild chase against the humans in the park. Along with the giant T-Rex, the highly intelligent velociraptors become the biggest threat to the group, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

The group desperately tries to find a way off the island, but a storm prevents evacuation by boat. The only option is the helipad on the other side of the island. Together with the children and the park ranger Robert Muldoon, they try to face the dangerous dinosaurs and reach the helicopter.
