It is one of the most puzzling murder stories of the 1990s and has been unsolved for over 25 years - the triple murder of restaurateur Manfred Meisel, his son Patrick and animal keeper Claudia Leisten. The three-part true-crime docu-series from Constantin Dokumentation Der Bierkönig - Mord am Ballermann will be released exclusively on Prime Video on October 13. Frankfurt-born restaurateur Meisel became known when he made the legendary "Bierkönig" on Mallorca famous beyond the borders of Mallorca. The documentary shows the murder investigation and reconstruction of the case by the then chief investigator of the Spanish police, examines and questions the motives for the crime, which remain unclear to this day, and thus reopens the case - because the documentary reveals new leads to the perpetrators, which have so far remained unconsidered.
