At last! Today sees the release of the eagerly awaited trailer for the second season of the Netflix series "Wednesday". Emma Myers aka Enid Sinclair has revealed this via the official Wednesday Netflix account on Instagram. According to the post, we can expect "terrifying and disturbing images. And not just of Tyler."
Jenna Ortega, who has achieved worldwide cult status with her interpretation of Wednesday Addams, will once again play the lead role. According to Netflix, the second season will be released in two parts: the first part will start on August 6, 2025, followed by the second on September 3. The first teaser trailer for "Wednesday 2" already whetted our appetite for more a few weeks ago:
The cast of Wednesday season 2
The cast of "Wednesday" season 2 once again promises a lot. In addition to Jenna Ortega in the title role, Catherine Zeta-Jones is back as her mother Morticia and Luis Guzmán as her father Gomez. The new additions include well-known names such as Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper and Christopher Lloyd, who already played the role of Uncle Fester in the first two "Addams Family" films. Another notable cast member is Lady Gaga, who will appear in a small role as a teacher at Nevermore Academy.
The story of the Wednesday sequel
As far as the plot is concerned, there is no concrete information yet. However, it is rumored that Morticia Addams will take on a much larger role in the second season. According to speculation, she will take on the position of principal at Nevermore Academy, which could further develop the family dynamic. Jenna Ortega herself has hinted that the new season will be much more action-packed than the previous one. There are also plans to move away from the love triangle between Wednesday, Xavier and Taylor and instead focus more on the horror element.
