News from the Dead: With "Night of the Living Dead", director George A. Romero was behind a major classic and also set the course for an entire genre. Now the sixth and final part of the series is to follow with "Twilight of the Dead".

George A. Romero is regarded as the founding father of the zombie genre and made history with his "Of the Dead" series. "Night of the Living Dead" and "Dawn of the Dead" are big classics of the genre and are still very popular to this day. Now, 55 years after the first film, a sixth part is to follow, which is to bring the franchise to an end. "Twilight of the Dead" is supposed to be a sequel to 2005's "Land of the Dead" and is set on a tropical island where the last remaining humans have to fight off various factions of the undead. Brad Anderson, who will be in charge of directing , described the movie in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter as a horror flick with "heart and hope." So limbs will fly around and heads will roll, but it's also about social upheaval and the question of what it means to be human.

Should the Hollywood strike be brought to an end in the next few months, "Twilight of the Dead" could begin filming at the end of the year and be ready for release next year.
