According to a report by "GeeksWorldWide" Legendary Pictures is currently in the planning phase for a ""Sim City"" and a "Sims" movie. Unfortunately, information on both projects are rare, which is why in the case of the "Sims" movie you have to be content with some information from the casting calls. It seems as if the characters in the movie played a kind of double role. Included in this are for example Katie, the female main actress, who can be placed somewhere between funny and chaotic. Also involved are her best friend and nerd Cliff as well as side characters like actor Rick, Katie's cynical colleague Cora, her uptight colleague Dennis and many more.

The "Sim City" movie, on the other hand, is supposed to be a kind of funny disaster movie based on a Roland Emmerich movie. Unfortunately, there is also no information about the cast for this yet. It's only known that the movie is supposed to revolve around a family of three and a villian.

The model for the film is the construction simulation game "Sim City", in which the player takes over complete control of a specially constructed city. It's up to you if you want to make it a nice and liveable city for the inhabitants, who are called "Sims", or if you let the inhabitants suffer one natural disaster after the other.

The responsible studio, Legendary Pictures, already has a lot of experience with video game adaptations, for example they were significantly involved in the production of "Warcraft" and "Detective Pikachu". At least the latter film was a huge success at the worldwide box offices, while "Warcraft" disappeared in insignificance. It remains to be seen which of the two categories the two movies will fall under after their release.
