Director Todd Phillips has published a number of new images for his eagerly awaited sequel "Joker 2: Folie à Deux" just in time for Valentine's Day. These suggest a very special romance between the two villains.

The fact that "Joker 2: Folie à Deux" will not be a classic superhero sequel has already been known for several months. Rather the opposite is the case: according to director Todd Phillips, we can expect a drama featuring musical elements in part 2. The toxic relationship between the Joker and Harley Quinn will be the key element of the movie.

Phillips published a series of new pictures via Instagram that show the unusual couple in romantic moments together: In the first picture, the two don't seem to be on the same page - they are looking in different directions. However, as in every relationship, after the lows come the highs, as the next photos suggest. We see Harleen and Arthur dancing on the rooftops of the city - the retro look is somewhat reminiscent of great musicals such as "Singin' in the Rain" or Martin Scorsese's "New York, New York". And of course, a passionate nose kiss is also a must, even if it is made more difficult by the bars.

Whether the relationship between the Joker and Harley Quinn really turns out to be so romantic in the end remains to be seen. On October 4, 2024, we will be able to find out for ourselves!
