Deadpool 3: Two New Additions to the Cast Have Been Announced
One of them is expected to return as a familiar MCU character
Many fans can hardly wait for the release of "Deadpool 3". Ever since the surprising announcement that none other than Hugh Jackman will play a leading role as Wolverine, expectations have been high. After all, it's not all the time that you see two such fan favorites together in front of the camera.
After the second movie of the series was released in 2018, it has been 5 years since a new movie starring Deadpool premiered. Since the wait until the third film will drag on for another year and a half, there is relatively little information about the plot. But in recent days news about the cast was revealed, which we do not want to withhold from you.
The first new addition is said to be "Succession" actor Matthew Macfadyen. The 48-year-old has not yet been given a role in the MCU, which is why we can only make speculations about his exact role. In the HBO series, he plays fan favorite Tom Wambsgans. Since the final season is currently running, Macfadyen will certainly have time for a larger role in "Deadpool 3".
It's also possible that we'll be seeing a familiar face in the MCU: according to many Hollywood magazines, Owen Wilson is expected to appear as Mobius M. Mobius. Wilson last played the role of the agent of the Time Variance Authority, TVA for short, in the "Loki" series. However, possibly his biggest job to date awaits him with the two main characters Deadpool and Wolverine. After all, the latter in particular is known for wreaking havoc. It is not yet one hundred percent sure whether Wilson will really play his part again. But insider Jeff Sneider has proven to be a reliable source in the past.
We will probably first learn more about the future of Agent Mobius in season 2 of the "Loki" series - which, according to Wilson, is scheduled for the end of this summer or early fall. "Deadpool 3" will be released in theaters on November 8, 2024.
