Shooting start for "Five Nights at Freddy's 2" announced
Chica the Toy is to appear in the movie
With worldwide box office takings of 300 million dollars, the live-action adaptation of "Five Nights at Freddy's" was a complete success. Expectations are correspondingly high for the sequel, which is said to be released in cinemas next year. The start of filming has now been announced.
In an interview on the YouTube channel Jaybee & Milly, actor Matthew Lillard announced that he would be back in front of the camera for "Five Nights at Freddy's 2" from October 2024. Lead actor Josh Hutcherson - who says he can hardly wait to finally get back on set - will also appear in the sequel.
A first image has also been released, giving us a glimpse behind the scenes of the film. An animatronic head can be seen, the shape of which is very reminiscent of Toy Chica. Toy Chica first appeared in part 2 of the video game and is described as a "more child-friendly and improved" version of Chica the Chicken. However, she is not particularly child-friendly, as she is in no way inferior to her colleagues when it comes to bloodthirstiness and sadism.
"Five Nights at Freddy's 2" will be released in cinemas on December 4, 2025. If you don't want to wait that long, a new game of the series was also recently announced: "Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic" is also due to be released within the next year.
