New Images of Peter Dinklage as The Toxic Avenger
The reboot of the trash cult classic will finally arrive in 2025
It took a long time, but now there's an update on "The Toxic Avenger". The film starring Elijah Wood and Kevin Bacon was first shown at a few festivals back in 2023. Since then, it has been rather quiet, but now regular viewers will also get to see new images of Peter Dinklage as the Toxic Avenger.
The "Toxic Avenger" is a reboot of the 80s trash classic of the same name. A toxic accident transforms janitor Winston Gooze into a new kind of hero: he is the Toxic Avenger, also known as Toxie! Toxie is equipped with a glowing mop and super-human strength. As you can see, "The Toxic Avenger" has nothing to do with "Marvel's The Avengers".
In an interview with the industry magazine Entertainment Weekly, director Macon Blair explains that he wants to retain the vibe of the classic with his film. At the same time, he also wants to create "something new and weird and lovable".
In the course of the interview, the portal also published images in which we can take a closer look at "Game of Thrones" star Peter Dinklage as Toxie.
Trash fans were able to see the first images of "The Toxic Avenger" back in 2023. On this photos we can see "Lord of the Rings" star Eljiah Wood and Kevin Bacon in their roles as Fritz and Bob Garbinger. The cast also includes "Room" actor Jacob Tremblay and "Don't Breathe" actress Jane Levy. The film is scheduled for release on August 29, 2025.

Game of Thrones (2011-2019)

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian of Narnia
Before "Game of Thrones", Dinklage had already appeared in another fantasy world. He was part of the cast of "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian", the second part of the successful fantasy series based on the books by C.S. Lewis. A new adaptation of the book series is currently being planned at Netflix.
Dexter: Resurrection
Good news for all "Dexter" fans: Peter Dinklage has been cast for the sequel to the serial killer series. The series "Dexter: Resurrection" will follow on from the sequel "Dexter: New Blood". "New Blood" already continued the original series in 2021. Peter Dinklage is set to take on the role of Leon Prater in "Dexter: Resurrection". Prater is a billionaire who leaves a positive impression for many on the outside. But dark secrets are hidden behind this facade. The series is currently being filmed and will be available on Paramount Plus in summer 2025.
