Cluedo film adaptation with Ryan Reynolds slowly takes off
This "Alice in Wonderland" director is under discussion
Already in 2008 a film adaptation of the classic board game Cluedo was announced. This is supposed to be based on the cult film "clue: the movie" from 1985. As it is often the case, the production of Cluedo was pushed further and further back for years, until star actor Ryan Reynolds and his colleague Jason Bateman finally wrote a script at the end of 2019 and left the direction to the latter. As Variety now reports, this is not going to happen, as Bateman is still committed to the series "Ozark". A suitable replacement could be found soon, because according to information from Variety, "Alice in Wonderland 2" director James Robin is currently in discussion for the directing job.
The plot of Cluedo revolves around six people unknown to each other, who meet in a remote house for a party. It happens as it has to, as suddenly one of them dies. Little by little the secrets of the guests come to light and the search for the killer begins.
Unfortunately there is no information about a possible release date at the moment.
