"Scrubs" creator talks about a sequel as a series
The cast recently shared a photo
Even in 2024, the comedy series "Scrubs" continues to enjoy great popularity, even if the disappointing final season is certainly still in the minds of the fans. It is all the more pleasing, however, that a sequel is now being planned.
In an interview with LADbible, "Scrubs" creator Bill Lawrence revealed that he wants to find a solution within the next six months in order to tackle the project again. Lawrence was very determined and confirmed that a sequel is definitely in the works. Quote:
"We're definitely going to do it, just because we're all enjoying hanging out together."
He also explained that he could imagine the sequel as a series rather than a movie. According to initial information, both old and new characters will meet in the series.
In April of this year, some of the original cast, including Zach Braff, John C. McGinley, Sarah Chalke and Christa Miller, reunited for an "spontaneous pizza party" and shared a photo of the reunion. The photo naturally sent fans into a frenzy and further fueled speculation about a possible "Scrubs" reunion.
