Amazon achieved a huge hit with "Fallout", which enjoyed great popularity among fans of the original as well as newcomers. Now the next video game adaptation is on the agenda: Amazon is working on a series based on "Mass Effect".

And the team behind the adaptation is certainly impressive: Daniel Casey, known for "Fast and Furious 9", will write the script and act as executive producer, according to Variety. He will be supported by Karim Zreik, who has already worked on a number of Marvel series. Ari Arad and Michael Gamble from Electronic Arts are also involved as executive producers.

The exact details of the plot of "Mass Effect" are being kept top secret. However, it is being speculated that the series will be based on the classic storyline of the first three games with Commander Shepard. The first "Mass Effect" trilogy, which launched in 2007, is about Commander Shepard's mission to protect humanity and the universe from an alien threat. After the end of the first three games, a new chapter was released in 2017 with "Mass Effect: Andromeda", featuring a different setting and a new cast.

"Mass Effect" is one of the most influential science fiction series in video games and enjoys cult status. In addition to the four main games in the series, there are now also several novels, comics, a mobile game and an animated movie. It is not yet known when we can expect the series on Amazon Prime.
