Over the past months, new information about the actors in the upcoming Lord of the Rings

movie has been announced bit by bit. Now Amazon has announced the full cast at the

Television Critics Association. Already known were the engagements of Robert Aramayo as

Beldor, Morfydd Clark as Galadriel, Joseph Mawle as Oren, Markella Kavenagh as female

lead Tyra and Ema Horvath in a yet unknown role.

The new faces are Owain Arthur, Nazanin Boniadi, Tom Budge, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Tyroe

Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers and Daniel

Weyman.

Therefore, at least from a personnel point of view, nothing stands in the way of the filming,

which will begin in February. However, only the first two episodes will be shot under the

direction of J. A. Bayona before the plans for the second season are finalized and the scripts

for season 1 are completed. As in the film trilogy, New Zealand will be the main location. The

first season of Lord of the Rings will be available on Amazon Prime Video later in 2021.
