Tulsa King: Season 5 Confirmed for Sylvester Stallone's Paramount Plus Hit
Tulsa King's Future Is Secured Ahead of Season 4
Good news for "Tulsa King" fans: The Paramount+ series has been renewed for a fifth season even before the upcoming fourth season premieres. The story of Dwight "The General" Manfredi, played by Sylvester Stallone, is thus moving into its next phase—with a new setting. In this article, you'll find all the details known so far about the plot and cast of the new season.
First Details on the Plot & Cast
Filming for Season 5 has already begun—this time in New York, rather than Atlanta. This fits with the plot, which shifts to New York, marking a return to the mafia roots of Stallone's main character.
This shift also affects the cast: Scarlet Rose Stallone, who plays Spencer, will take on a larger role in Season 5. Sylvester Stallone's daughter was already part of the cast in the first four seasons, but she'll be among the main cast members in Season 5. Paramount has also announced several new additions to the cast: Erik Palladino ("The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel") , Glenn Fleshler ("Billions") , Anthony Skordi ("The Last Frontier") , and Nickola Shreli ("Power Book IV: Force").
Tulsa King Season 4
But first, of course, "Tulsa King" fans can look forward to the upcoming fourth season. The official plot synopsis offers a first glimpse:
"In 'Tulsa King' Season 4, Dwight (Sylvester Stallone) fights to legitimize his empire, and protect his crew as corrupt politicians, dangerous new enemies, and a crushing personal loss hit from every direction. Each move drags Dwight deeper into the street instincts he left behind in New York – turning Tulsa into a battleground, and Dwight into the one threat no one can afford to underestimate."
Starting October 16, 2026, you can stream the fourth season of "Tulsa King" on Paramount+. You'll also find the first three seasons there. If the current release schedule holds, the fifth season can be expected around fall 2027.

The Hit Series "Tulsa King"
"Tulsa King" premiered on Paramount+ in 2022 and was created by Taylor Sheridan. The series centers on Dwight Manfredi, a New York Mafia capo who, after 25 years in prison, is sent by his boss to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to establish new business operations for the organization. What initially seems like a banishment turns out to be an opportunity for Dwight to build his own empire.
The series blends classic mafia elements with dark humor and the Western flair of the American Midwest. Sylvester Stallone took on his first major leading role in a series as Dwight and has had a significant impact on the show.

Frisco King: The "Tulsa King" Spin-off Starring Samuel L. Jackson
In addition to the fourth and fifth seasons of "Tulsa King," a spin-off series is also in the works: "Frisco King." Samuel L. Jackson, who previously appeared in "Tulsa King," will take on the lead role. Taylor Sheridan will serve as showrunner and write the scripts for all eight episodes. The release date for the new series has not yet been announced. You can read the official plot synopsis of the spin-off here:
"'Frisco King' follows Russell Lee Washington Jr. (Jackson) , who befriended Dwight Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) while serving a ten-year sentence in federal prison. He is then sent from Tulsa King to the New York-based Renzetti crime family to take out Dwight once and for all. When Lee refuses, he returns to New Orleans and quickly realizes he is no longer the king. Now reunited, Dwight steps in and sends him to a place he knows Lee can conquer—and make a lot of money in the process: the pristine suburban idyll of Frisco, Texas.
Taylor Sheridan and His Paramount+ Series
In addition to "Tulsa King," Taylor Sheridan is best known for an entire series universe on Paramount+. The screenwriter—who started out as an actor and was nominated for an Oscar for "Hell or High Water"—became one of the defining figures of the modern TV landscape with "Yellowstone." For Paramount+, Sheridan developed and produced, among other projects, the prison drama "Mayor of Kingstown," the "Yellowstone" prequels "1883" and "1923," the "Yellowstone" spin-offs "Marshals" and "Dutton Ranch," the spy series "Lioness," and "Landman," which is set in the oil industry of West Texas. Added to this are "Lawmen: Bass Reeves," on which Sheridan served as executive producer, and "The Madison," starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell. Thus, Sheridan's range of series spans from classic Westerns to mafia and family dramas, as well as military and corporate thrillers.
Sheridan has also made a significant mark in film: As a screenwriter, he wrote "Sicario" and its sequel, "Sicario 2," among others, before directing "Wind River" himself. Sheridan's work is often characterized by a harsh, realistic look at America's frontier regions, power structures, and social conflicts—themes that would later resurface in his Paramount+ series. And speaking of "Sicario": "Sicario 3" is currently in the works—though without Sheridan as screenwriter. Emily Blunt, Benicio del Toro, and Josh Brolin are all back on board. Meanwhile, all Stallone fans can look forward to a film adaptation of the legendary production story behind "Rocky." In "I Play Rocky," Anthony Ippolito takes on the role of the Hollywood star. The film hits theaters on November 26, 2026. You can watch the trailer here:
