Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons in the New Yorgos Lanthimos Film "Bugonia"

The dream team returns: after "The Favourite", "Poor Things" and "Kinds of Kindness", Emma Stone and director Yorgos Lanthimos are teaming up again for "Bugonia". And there's already a release date!
According to Deadline, "Bugonia" will be released in cinemas on November 7, 2025. The content of the film – which is based on the South Korean sci-fi comedy "Save the Green Planet!" – revolves around two conspiracy ideologues who kidnap an influential CEO of a large company. They are firmly convinced that she is an alien who wants to destroy the Earth. "Bugonia" is once again directed by mastermind Yorgos Lanthimos – the screenplay was written by Joon-Hwan Jang and Will Tracy. Jesse Plemons will also be involved in the project alongside Stone. Both can currently be seen in "Kinds of Kindness".
