The new trailer for "The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth" is here! The film is the highly anticipated sequel to Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." As the title suggests, this time the focus is on Cliff Booth, who – as in the previous film – is played by Hollywood star Brad Pitt.

What makes the trailer particularly exciting for fans of "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood": We learn why Cliff Booth is no longer working with Rick Dalton. In "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," Leonardo DiCaprio played the struggling actor Rick, whose stunt double was Cliff. Now Cliff reveals what happened. When asked why their collaboration came to an end after so many years, he replies: "Oh, uh, Rick got too fat for me to double him anymore." So that's that, then. Cliff Booth: Here's what the new Brad Pitt movie is about

It's been clear for a while now: The story of "The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth" takes place in 1977 – a few years after the events of "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." Hollywood has changed quite a bit – and Booth has to figure out how to deal with that. There's now much more information available about the plot. Now we know: Los Angeles no longer needs a hippie-busting stuntman. But Hollywood will always have problems – problems that can only be solved by someone with Cliff's unique (and occasionally not-quite-legal) skills. When he's not making a living as a bartender or a movie theater projectionist, Cliff Booth works as a fixer – resolving sticky situations for Hollywood's big names and, sometimes, its less-than-stellar figures. He becomes curious when he receives a call from talent agent Karen Crosby (Elizabeth Debicki) on behalf of her client, TV megastar Charlie Peters (Scott Caan) – a man known for performing his own stunts.

The cast also includes, among others: Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Matt Groove, and JB Tadena. Tarantino is credited as the screenwriter. He also wrote the similarly titled novel "The Adventures of Cliff Booth," which likewise continues the story from "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." As for the film version, however, he left the direction to a colleague. David Fincher is directing "The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth."

David Fincher takes the helm

With Fincher as director, the material should also be in good hands. Especially since he has worked with lead actor Brad Pitt on several occasions: Under Fincher's direction, the Hollywood star played the lead role in the thrillers "Seven" and "Fight Club," as well as in the fantasy drama "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."

We'll find out how Pitt fares in "The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth" starting November 25, 2026, in IMAX theaters and December 23, 2026, on Netflix. Until then, you can also watch the trailer for the previous film, "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," here:
