Super Mario Galaxy: The game

"Super Mario Galaxy" is a 3D jump 'n' run video game developed by Nintendo and originally released for the Wii console in 2007. As part of the popular "Super Mario" series, it is considered one of the most creative and best-rated games in the series.

In "Super Mario Galaxy", Mario embarks on an intergalactic journey to free Princess Peach from the clutches of Bowser – but this time the adventure does not take place in the Mushroom Kingdom, but in the vastness of outer space. Mario travels through various galaxies, each consisting of small, sometimes spherical planets on which different physical rules apply. The game thus introduces an innovative gravity system that enables new forms of locomotion and level design.

In addition to the extraordinary game mechanics, "Super Mario Galaxy" impresses with its imaginative design and plenty of variety. The game combines classic elements of the series with fresh ideas, setting new standards for the popular series. Its huge success led to the release of a direct sequel, "Super Mario Galaxy 2", in 2010. Both titles are still very popular today.

The triumph of video game adaptations

This great popularity is now likely to lead to a film adaptation. With the second "Super Mario" film, the triumphal march of video game adaptations continues. They are the new trend in Hollywood.
