New Addition to the DCU: The "Teen Titans" Get a Live-Action Adaptation
"Teen Titans Go!" currently comprises 396 episodes
While filming for James Gunn's "Superman" continues at full speed, a well-known superhero team is now joining the world of the DCU: We're talking about the "Teen Titans".
The "Teen Titans" are a group of teenage heroes who first appeared in the 1960s. The original team consisted of well-known sidekicks of established heroes such as Kid Flash, Aqualad, Robin and Wonder Girl. Over time, the group expanded to include a number of new members such as Speedy, Beast Boy, Aquagirl and Cyborg. The ongoing popularity of the characters and the success of animated series such as "Teen Titans" and "Teen Titans Go!" may have been decisive reasons for allowing the group to take place in the upcoming DCU under James Gunn.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has commissioned author Ana Nogueira to pen a script for the live-action adaptation of "Teen Titans". Nogueira is already considered an integral member of the DC family and will also be in charge of "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" with "House of the Dragon" star Milly Alcock.
When the film will be released in movie theaters is not yet known. First, it has to be clarified which characters will play a role in Gunn's version of the hero group. We can't wait to find out!
