It has been known for some time that Bruce Wayne will face Catwoman again in the next Batman movie. This wasn't a big surprise, as the mysterious thief and the dark knight have somehow been connected since the comics. Most recently the Marvel Stars Lupita Nyongo, Tessa Thompson and Alexandra Shipp were considered for the role. But in the end someone else was chosen, Zoe Kravitz, well known from Mad Max Fury Road and Fantastic Beasts. According to the Hollywood reporter she was able to assert herself against many competitors, e.g. Ana de Armas and Eliza Gonzales. It is said that Joker star Zazie Beetz was also considered. With the latter it probably failed due to her engagement in the series Atlanta.

Zoe Kravitz will now be together with Halle Berry, Anne Hathaway and Michelle Pfeiffer associated with the character of Catwoman. However, Catwoman won't be the only opponent of Batman, as it has been confirmed many times before, since the Riddler and the Penguin will also make life difficult for Bruce Wayne. Also here the top actor Andy Serkis is already connected with the roles, while Jonah Hill doesn't apply for the role anymore.

The Batman will be released on 25 June 2021 in the US American cinemas,
