The new Joker movie currently attracts a lot of attention. Just last week we reported about the outstanding reviews in the previews, so it's no surprise that many fans wish for a crossover with Batman. And this despite the fact that only a few months ago the general opinion among DC fans was that the Joker movie doesn't live up to their expectations since it has no connection to the comics. The current opinion is exactly the opposite of what was going on the net months ago, as the discussion is now heading towards a possible crossover. Director Todd Philipps however rejects the whole idea, because in an interview he explained that he wanted to create an independent version of the Joker, which is in no way tied to another universe. That's exactly why the idea of the original history of the Joker was born, which you can't really classify yet, as it has nothing to do with Heath Ledger's portrayal in The Dark Knight, nor is there any relationship to Jack Nicholson's version or Jared Letos Joker from The Suicide Squad.
