Production of the sequel "Ready or Not 2" continues to progress. As the industry magazine Deadline reports, Kathryn Newton – known from "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" – has joined the cast of the slasher comedy.

This is Newton's second collaboration with Radio Silence. Just last year, she shot the horror film "Abigail" with the directing duo Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin. Samara Weaving, the star of the first film, will also be back alongside her. "Ready or Not 2" will once again be directed by Gillett and Bettinelli-Olpin, who also directed the previous film.

"Ready or Not" was about Grace, played by Samra Weaving, who marries into the wealthy and eccentric Le Domas family. But what begins as a fairy tale quickly turns into a nightmare and she has to defend herself against the crazy family in a deadly version of "Hide and Seek". With a low budget of just six million dollars, the film grossed over 57 million dollars worldwide. What part 2 will be about is still unknown. The start date has also yet to be announced.
