Bidding Drama for "Coyote vs. Acme": Amazon, Netflix and Paramount Are Still in the Running!
The film, which has already been shot, cost 70 million dollars
The race is on: after Warner originally wanted to shelve its "Coyote vs Acme" film adaptation completely, several studios have expressed interest in the material. The favorites are Amazon, Netflix and Paramount, who have all made offers.
As Deadline reports, Warner Bros is currently asking for more than 70 million dollars for the "Coyote vs Acme" movie, which has already been shot. This should come as no surprise, as this amount could cover the production costs and would also provide Warner with a small profit. The fact that the studio is currently taking tough cost-cutting measures should be known at the latest since the scrapping of the "Batgirl" movie. In the bidding dispute, Netflix and Paramount have so far been the most successful - Paramount is even planning to release the movie in cinemas. But Amazon has also expressed interest, albeit without giving any specific details.
What is certain, however, is that Warner could make good use of the money and so it is only a matter of time before one party finally emerges as the winner. This should please the fans!
