The premiere date for the series' final episodes has already been set
The final fourth season of "Yellowjackets" is approaching – and now a new trailer has been released to further fuel the anticipation! What was already clear before is also the focus of the scenes now shown: the return of the missing young heroines.
What makes the new "Yellowjackets" trailer special is the soundtrack. It features the song "Ironic" by Alanis Morissette. A classic from 1996 that fits the series perfectly – which also takes place in the '90s through flashbacks and is frequently accompanied by songs from that era. In keeping with the series' horror elements, however, the track changes as the trailer progresses. What begins with gentle sounds grows increasingly darker, giving way to more unsettling tones – matching the increasingly dramatic images on screen. Here's what Season 4 of Yellowjackets is about
The series centers on a high school girls' soccer team whose plane crashes in a remote wilderness in 1996, forcing them to fight for survival. At the same time, the series shows what happens 25 years later. Some members of the group not only survived the crash but also found their way back to civilization. However, they are haunted by the events in the wilderness – events that are as mysterious as they are traumatic. The fourth season of "Yellowjackets" will now bring the series' storyline to a close. Initial details about the plot of the new episodes are already officially available:
"As the survivors race to bury their sins before rescue arrives and an old flame roars back into town with plans of her own, turns out not every homecoming is a joyous one, and this one's going to sting."
First 90s-style teaser
One thing is already certain: Season 4 of "Yellowjackets" premieres on November 20, 2026, on Paramount+. The release date was announced some time ago in a unique way: with a video announcing the rescue of the students. The video shows a series of 90s-style TV screens, some of which broadcast breaking news reports about how the soccer team was found.
